PAOLINO UNLOCKED
Despite only having collected one point, the two games this weekend at Brera Football Village showed satisfying performances. On Saturday the juniors played an intense game against Sancolombano Calcio, taking the lead twice, firstly with a Nicola Martino’s beauty and then with a shot from the new arrival, the little Pogba Abdoulaye Fall.
We were, however, overtaken by tough opponents who – despite the numerical inferiority – managed to snatch a draw, but the progress of our Under 19 team now led by Marian Dragoi is evident.
Sunday the first team faced a 𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 against the league table leaders, Frog Milano. Within the friendly walls and pushed by the hundreds of followers who watched the live streaming of the match, we were able to keep the game open until the final whistle. The opponents took the lead with the eternal Mario Luongo, but in the second half our Paolino Cataldi finally hit the net, grabbing the equalizer with a beautiful goal assisted by “il Cobra” Paone. Unfortunately, just instants from the end, an unfortunate rejection by our goalkeeper Joao Mansur Chacra (perfect until then) and the consequent carambola allowed Luongo to double. Despite the defeat, a tidier lineup, a perfect communication of the technical duo Nichetti-Storniolo and a newfound 𝘉𝘳𝘦𝘳𝘢 𝘴𝘵𝘺𝘭𝘦 have finally brought back a convincing performance.
Another important home match awaits us next week at 2.30pm against Ausonia. The match will still be available in live streaming on our channels, but we are waiting for you on the stands of the Brera Football Village to support our neroverdi.
See you tomorrow for the highlights of Brera-Frog and forza Brera!
