AN ENJOYABLE WEEKEND

Despite yesterday’s defeat, we cannot consider this weekend negative.

In fact, on Saturday our Under 19 team went on to win, with a perfect match, the important game against R.C. Codogno 1908. Our boys, even though in a very emergency formation, won 2-1 with goals from Karim Abo El Ata and Jason Flores.

Yesterday, however, the first team, engaged on the prohibitive field of Rozzano, arrived within two minutes of performing a miracle: after the first half ended 0-0, an early (and naive) red card to one of our defenders left us with 10 men at the beginning of the second half, but we made it until the injury time, having a couple of chances to take the lead as well. Unfortunately, two minutes from the end, the opponents took advantage of our lightness to break the deadlock, doubling a minute later for the final 2-0.

Despite this, we can only be satisfied with a heroic performance that gives us hope for the rest of the championship, starting with next Sunday’s home match against Real Milano at 3.30 pm at Brera Football Village. We are waiting for you, forza Brera!
